Here goes a brief neighbourhood update:
Pakistan prepares for a restoration of democracy. My optimism has been fostered a bit. Will Nawaz Sharif and Benazir's heirs join hands against Musharraf (it's comparable to INC and BJP forming a coalition government, mind you).
Did US test a missile or was it genuine to blow up the out-of-control spy satellite?
Is it justified to criticize Jodhaa Akbar on the ground of being historically inaccurate? [Refer: Keith Jenkins ;-)]
Post something! We, readers, are anxiously waiting to hear something. Anything.
And please, you don't whine. Idiot.

Oye..How is USA neighbourhood?

Hehe..the situation in Pakistan makes me wanna laugh. He'll hold a pseudo election, He won't resign, He'll talk about concilliatory politics. I feel sorry for the people there, really. After so many of them risked their lives (some fatally so) to cast votes, the whole process was rather redundant, huh?

And Jodhaa-Akbar is a boring drag, really. It's a pity they're kicking up such a fuss; curious people will actually go and watch it! The whole movie has been made to emphasize the good looking actors, and their pretty outfits and jewellery. I read an article which said animal rights' groups are protesting against it because of alleged cruel treatment against the horses. And Gowarikar has put in a certificate from some animal association at the start of the movie which certifies that all animals in the movie have been treated with utmost care. Poof..really!

I think my whine is more interesting :) Though something I do wanna write on is the IPL. Auctioning players..hehhee..sounds like human trafficking is back!

Ya I know.. Selling off players! And Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta holding placards of Kolkata and Mohali respectively at the auction.
No I initially started writing about the neighbourhood only, i.e. Pakistani politics, but later ended up writing about US as well :)
